1. Texas Longhorns

Kansas started off 14 0, but lost their last game to Tennessee. Kansas has defeated UCLA, Michigan, and Memphis this year however, which shows they are above many of the top teams. We will have to see how Kansas bounces back after this loss when they face a 12 4 Nebraska team in their next game.
4. Villanova Wildcats
The second Wildcat team in the top 5 is Villanova. At 15 1 Villanova has had a great start to the season with their only loss coming to Temple. Villanova hasn t played many top teams, but they did take on Louisville in their last game and won by a convincing 8 points.
5. Syracuse Orange
The Orange are 15 1 thus far in the season. Their only loss has come against Pitt. The Orange bounced back and beat Memphis in their next game and then dominated South Florida in their most recent game. Some other big wins include North Carolina and Florida.

Tennessee Currently ranked 9th with a 12 2 record.
UNC Currently ranked 12th with a 12 4 record.
Connecticut Currently ranked 15th with an 11 4 record.
Pittsburgh Currently ranked 16th with a 13 2 record.
Florida State Currently ranked 25th with a 13 3 record.
The March Madness tournament begins on March 16th with the final selection day taking place on the 14th. The Sweet 16 will take place on March 25th and 26th with the Final Four games being played on April 3rd and the National Championship game taking place on the 5th of April.
